Macadamia Massage & Body Care Oil

Macadamia is a genus of four species of trees indigenous to Australia and constituting part of the plant family Proteaceae. They are native to north eastern New South Wales and central and south eastern Queensland/ Australia.  The tree is commercially important for its fruit, the macadamia nut or simply macadamia. Macadamian Nut is a tree growing in tropical areas where exotic fruits such as avocado, papaya, mango and banana grow.  Macadamia was discovered in rain forests in Australia and spread to the world after.  It is a type of nut with a very hard shell. Macadamian Nut contains palmitoleic acid which no other fruit contains. This acid produced by human body decreases with aging. Due to its moisturizing properties, it is used commonly in cosmetics and it has a crucial role in controlling cholesterol. Macadamian Nut includes fatty acids, calcium, phosphorus, iron, Vitamin B12, Vitamin E, Omega 3, Omega 6, and palmitoleic acid i.e Omega 7 in high percentages (16-23%). This acid can be found on the human skin in high percentages at young ages, however the percentage decreases in time.

Macadamian Oil is a natural moisturizer for skin, and reduces aging symptoms. Herbal phytosterols and catechin flavonoids in the formula repair the skin and strengthen the protective barrier of the skin. It is easily absorbed by the skin and does not leave an oily layer on the skin. The chemical profile of Macadamia is similar to human sebum (secretion produced by sebaceous glands of the skin). Recommended for skin circulation problems, moisture loss and wrinkles.
